Lewis E. Allen, 71, of Defiance, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at ProMedica Toledo Hospital. He was born on January 1, 1953 to Harold and Eleanor (Leser) Allen at Bay City , Michigan. Lewis worked for GM Powertrain for 35 years until his retirement in 2014.  He was a member of the Defiance AmVets #1991 and Eagles #372. Lewis enjoyed hunting, fishing, any outdoor activities including shooting guns and crossbows, and spending time with his dogs Gizmo, Moejoe, and Mosejo. He is survived by his son, Matthew Shock-Allen of Defiance, and sister, Sharon Schnitkey of Montpelier, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Ralph Allen and sister Susan Antoine . Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 24, 2024 from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home at 2:00 pm, with Celebrant Deb Miller officiating. Lewis will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Ft.
