Leo Edward "Ed" Roddy, 76, of Oakwood, passed away peacefully on  February 27, 2015 at the Brookview Healthcare Center in Defiance, OH.

He was born on August 25, 1938 to Cloice and Mabel (McKellips) Roddy in Defiance, OH. On February 28, 1959 he married Betty Moore and she preceded him in death in 2009. Leo and Betty lived in Oakwood, Ohio.

Ed worked as a inspector for Johns Manville for 42 years and retired in 2001. He was a member of Sons of AmVets post 1991 and the Defiance Moose Lodge.

Ed is survived by his son, Jeff (Lisa) Roddy of Defiance, OH, sister, Rozella (LeRoy) Stoker of Defiance, OH, brothers, Dennis (Connie) Roddy of Defiance, OH, Richard (Linda) Roddy of Defiance, OH, Robert (Donna) Roddy of Defiance, OH,  Nelson (Valerie) Roddy of Ft. Pierce, FL, 3 grandchildren, & 4 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Betty J. Roddy, children; Edward, Kim, David, & Teresa, sister, Donna "Cookie" Roddy, brothers; John, Carl, Paul Douglas, Roger, & Cloice Jr. Roddy.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 3, 2015, from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home, Inc., Defiance, Ohio.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at 3:00 pm at the Schaffer Funeral  Home, Defiance, Ohio, with Pastor Vincent Cantu officiating.
