On Wednesday, March 21, 2018, Lenny Relue, husband, father, brother and grandfather, passed away suddenly at the age of 65 years. He was born on June 26, 1952 to Donald and Betty (Marshall) Relue in Defiance. On February 25, 1972 he married Mary (Moninger) Relue, his loving wife and best friend of 46 years.

Lenny was a member of  UAW #211, Eagles #372, VFW #3360, and a former member of AMVETS #1991 and Moose Lodge #2094. He worked at General Motors in Defiance for over 30 years, retiring in 2007. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing on the Great Lakes, hunting, and camping throughout Michigan and Ohio. He loved playing golf and softball, watching his Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns football. He had a love for classic cars- working on and going to car shows with Mary, and working on home projects.

Lenny loved spending time with his family and will be greatly missed by his wife, Mary Relue of Defiance, daughter, Tracy (Keith) Sokoloski of Lambertville, MI, son, Chad (Kate) Relue of Defiance, sister, Linda Whitney of Defiance, grandchildren, Kai Relue, Brendon Sokoloski and Kelsey Riggleman.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held from 3-7 pm on Monday, March 26, 2018 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 27th at Schaffer Funeral Home, with Deacon Jeff Mayer officiating. Memorials can be made to The American Heart Association.
