Lena Zambone, 96, formerly of Pen Argyl, passed away, Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at Laurels Nursing Home, Defiance, OH. She was the wife of the late Angelo C. Zambone, who passed away, February 9, 1996. Born in West Bangor, June 9, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Angelina (Grande) Gigliotti. Prior to retiring, Lena was employed as a machine operator for various garment mills in the Slate Belt Area. She was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish, Pen Argyl. Survivors: Lena is survived by a daughter, Beverly Racciato and her husband, Dr. John Racciato of Defiance, OH, a son, Angelo Zambone of Macungie, two grandchildren, Nicole and Brian, three great grandchildren, Ryan, Joseph and Joshua, a sister, Rosemarie Falingo of Bangor, three brothers, John Gigliotti of Woodbury, NJ, Edward Gigliotti of Bethlehem and Peter Gigliotti of West Bangor and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, a sister Marion LeDonne, and a brother Anthony "Mig" Gigliotti all preceded her in death. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, April 2, 2016, at 11 AM at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, 300 W. Babbitt Avenue, Pen Argyl. There will be a viewing Saturday beginning at 10 AM until time of services at the church. Interment will be private in St. Roch's Cemetery, West Bangor.
