Lee Ann  Mendoza, age 64, of Oakwood, passed away on  December 16, 2022 at the Mercy Defiance Hospital. She was born on May 1, 1958 to Carlton and Connie (Vermillion) Weber in Kenton, Ohio.  Lee Ann worked as a Millwright for General Motors for many years. In  1979 she married Jessie Mendoza and he survives. Lee Ann enjoyed cooking and crafting. She enjoyed shopping for antiques and spending time with her family. She loved nature, especially the beach and enjoyed traveling to Florida. She was an animal lover and enjoyed taking care of her dogs. She will be sadly missed by many family members and friends. Lee Ann is survived by her loving husband Jessie, children, Jessica (Michael) Stewart of Toledo, Ohio,  Gabriel (Carmen) Mendoza of Sylvania, Ohio and Jason (Penny) Mendoza of Defiance, 20 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and her sisters, Shannon Dwyer, Jeannine Weber-Moore and Andrea (Jeff) Kinsey all of Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 22, 2022, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, Ohio. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1:00, with Deb Miller officiating. Burial will take place at Riverview Memory Gardens.Schaffer Funeral Home was honored to assist the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions are suggested to Fort Defiance Humane Society.
