LaVerne H. Wolfrum, 98, of Napoleon, formerly of Toledo,  passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at The Lutheran Home in Napoleon, Ohio.

She was born on May 8, 1919 to Andrew and Katherine (Kaestner) Wolfrum in Highland Twp. LaVerne graduated from LaVern Beauty School in Toledo, Ohio and worked at Lamsons Beauty Shop and Arthur Dillaway Beauty Shop in Toledo. She was a member of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church in Defiance.

LaVerne is survived by her sister-in-law, Martha Wolfrum of Defiance, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Margaret Bunke and Florence Layne, brothers, Martin Wolfrum, Lawrence Wolfrum, and Ralph Wolfrum.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm on Friday, September 29, 2017 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm on Friday, September 29, 2017 at Schaffer Funeral Home, with Rev. Jeff Bunke officiating. Burial will follow the service at St. Stephen Lutheran Cemetery.
