Larry Eugene Linebrink, age 79 of Defiance, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center in Defiance, Ohio, with his family by his side.

He was born on November 23, 1946 in Defiance, Ohio, and was a graduate of Ayersville High School. On June 28, 1969 he married Rose Zipfel, who preceded him in death on December 2, 2018. Larry worked as a custodian for Defiance City Schools for many years until his retirement. He was known to be quite the comedian. He loved spending time with his family and attending his grandson's sporting events and watching Ohio State sports. In retirement, he enjoyed picking up his grandkids from school.

Larry will be greatly missed by his son, Casey (Kelly) Linebrink of Defiance, grandsons, Keaton and Casen Linebrink, and his sisters, Shirley (Ronnie) Steingass and Barbara (Alan) Seabright.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Linebrink, his daughter, Mary Linebrink-Dittman, and his brother, Virgil Linebrink Jr.

A private burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery at a later date. Schaffer Funeral Home was honored to assist the family with arrangements.
