Lara Anne Punches Lara Anne Punches, age 19, of Defiance, Oh , passed away at 6:26 A:M , Thursday, February 12th, 2009 at CHP Inpatient Hospice Center in Defiance. She died from injuries from a fire in her Ft. Wayne apartment January 23. Lara was born in Defiance, on October 4, 1989, she was the daughter of Paul and Martha (Grim) Punches of Defiance She was a student at the Vet Tech Institute of International Business College in Ft. Wayne studying to be a Veterinarian Technician. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Paulding,Oh. She worked as a hostess at Bob Evans in Defiance and Ft. Wayne Coventry. A 2008 graduate of Defiance High School where she was a four year member of the Defiance High School Band of Class playing the clarinet, member of the Pep and Jazz Band. the Golf Team for four years and Yearbook for three years, A Volunteen member and a five year volunteer at the Defiance County Humane Society. It was her desire and wish to work with abused and abandoned animals. Lara loved collecting Panda bears and loved her two dogs Ginger and Coco. Besides her loving parents, surviving are Uncles: J.D. (Karen) Grim of Defiance, Francis (Rita) Grim of Sherwood, Doyle (Marie) Punches of South Carolina, Ralph Punches of Continental. Great Uncle Francis (Margaret) Murphy,Defiance, Everett (Marge) Hiestend of Michigan,Great Aunts: Ethyl Murphy of Defiance, Betty Grim of Maryland, Mary Louise Grim of Texas, and Laura Feller of Indiana. A great great Aunt Minnie Murphy of Pennsylvania., and many cousins . Preceded in death by her grandparents: Rev. John and Lorraine Grim and James and Cordelia Punches. Memorial Services will be at 11:00 A:M Monday, February 16, at First Presbyterian Church, 114 W. Caroline St. Paulding, Oh. with Rev. David Meriwether officiating.
