L.A. "Bud" A. March, 89, of Defiance, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at his residence.

He was born on February 1, 1926 to Vernon and Helen (Bodenbender) March in Defiance, Ohio. Bud worked for several years as an electrician for General Motors.
In July, 1969 he married Helen (Stork) March, who proceeded him in death.

Bud was a member of the AMVETS in Defiance. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and cutting wood. Bud loved his dogs, and feeding the birds.

Bud is survived by his daughter, Sheila (David) Moore of Paulding, step daughters, Sharon (Don) Shaffer of Cecil,  and Linda (Jack) Braun of Chehalis, Washington, 6 Grandchildren, 9 Great-grandchildren, 12 Great-great-grandchildren, brothers, Irvin (Katie) March of Reading, Michigan, Marvin (Marian) March of Defiance, and sister, Marvelle Wilhelm of Paulding.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Helen March, wife, Helen March, grandson, Brian Moore, sister, Bernice Bayliss, brothers, Eugene and Darrell March, and son, William March.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 6:00 pm on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, February 20, 2015, at the funeral home with Pastor Max Begley, officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Memory Gardens.
