Kurtis R. Hall, 26, of Ney, Ohio, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2016 at Henry County Hospital in Napoleon, Ohio.

He was born on June 26, 1990 to Virgil and Randi (Hussey) Hall in Defiance. Kurtis was a 2009 graduate of Fairview High School where he played football and basketball. He was a member of the Defiance Church of the Nazarene.

Kurtis worked at several area factories, with his favorite being Heidtman Steel Products in Butler, Indiana. He loved working with his grandfather at Shepard's Pasture Campground, building bridges and cutting down trees, or helping others in need. He enjoyed grilling outdoors, he was a fan of OSU and the Cleveland Cavaliers, and he especially liked LeBron James and Peyton Manning.  Kurtis enjoyed family times, especially with his cousins. He loved his three dogs, Nala, Davie, and Elle.

Kurtis will be sadly missed by his parents, Virgil and Randi Hall of Ney, Ohio, sister, Megan Hall of Findlay, Ohio, grandparents, Ray & Rose Hussey of Defiance, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his  grandparents,  Dorothy Jean Hall and George J. Hall, and uncle, Juan M. Castillo.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 8:00 pm on  Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance, and for one hour prior to services at the church.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at the Defiance Church of the Nazarene in Defiance, with Pastor Donald Leonard officiating.
