Obituary

Klaus Gustav Szabo, 75, passed away peacefully at his residence, leaving behind a life marked by independence and an unmistakable presence.

Klaus was born in Solingen-Wald, Germany. His German heritage and family history were an important part of the story of his life. Klaus was a friendly man who appreciated the simple things in life. His presence could be felt by those around him.

He is survived by his children, Angela Al-Attrash, Dawn Aldrich, Miklos Szabo, and Kelly Crowe, grandchildren Bryan Platte, Tariq Al-Attrash, Abby Reznicek, Mazin Al-Attrash, Draven Crowe, and Vergil Crowe, as well as sisters Ilonka Riggenbach and Carolyn Wagner, and brothers Mike Szabo and Tim Szabo who carry with them a part of his story and his legacy. He was preceded in death by his parents Miklos Szabo and Lottie Snodgrass and his brother Frank Szabo.

Klaus was our father, our family, and a person whose life touched ours in ways that will remain with us.

May he find the peace and serenity he so often sought in life.

Details for his memorial dinner will be shared by the family. Schaffer Funeral Home was honored to assist the family with arrangements.
