Kim Marie Gilmore, 57, of Defiance, passed away on  August 25, 2014 at the CHP Defiance Area In-Patient Hospice Center.

She was born on July 10, 1957 to D. Matt and Shirley Keller Asher in Bowling Green, OH. On March 12, 1977 she married Ronald E. Gilmore in Defiance. OH.

Kim was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.  She graduated from Defiance High School in 1975 and received her certificate in banking from the Ohio School of Banking. Kim was supervisor of Operations for State Bank and Trust 26 years.

She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Ronald, mother, Shirley Keller Asher of Defiance, daughter, Lynn (Calvin) Tipton of Defiance, son, Eric (Amy) Gilmore of Defiance, grandchildren, Jaren & Olivia Tipton, Addison & Jacob Gilmore, sisters, Tracy (Dan) Wareham of Defiance, Tammy (John) Wirick of Defiance and brother, Matthew (LuAnn) Asher of Swanton.

She was preceded in death by her father, D. Matt Asher in 1990.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 29, 2014, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Rev. David Brobston officiating.  Visitation will  be from 2:00-8:00 p.m.Thursday at Schaffer Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the services at the church.

Kim loved spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren.  She loved to cook.  Her favorite room was always the kitchen.  Kim was truly loved by all who knew her.
