Kenneth R. Buchholz Mr. Kenneth R. Buchholz, 61, of Defiance, passed away Monday, September 6th, 2010 at Defiance Regional Medical Center. He was born in Defiance, on June 4, 1949, he was the son of the late John and Marjorie (Moser) Buchholz. On Oct. 24, 1970 he married Laura Kunesh, who survives. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, an Army artillery veteran serving in Vietnam. A life member of the VFW post #3360 and the teamsters. Ken had worked as a semi truck driver for the Freightway Corp., Grabell, USF Holland, and Hornish Brothers trucking firms. He was graduate of Defiance High School. Surviving are his wife: Laura, daughter: Amy (Bill) Galliazzo of Geneva, Oh. 2 sons: Scott (Dawn) Buchholz of Defiance, Daniel (Michele) Buchholz of Marysville, Oh. 2 sisters: Carol (Gary) Shafer of Defiance, Teresa Willitzer of Defiance 2 brothers: Steve "Cash" (Marilynn) Buchholz of Defiance, Anthony (Laura) Buchholz of Defiance. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren: Jacob and Jared Buchholz: Sophie, Paxton and Max Galliazzo: Hayden and Colin Buchholz. He was preceded in death by a brother Edward and his parents. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at at St. Mary Catholic Church, at 11:00 A:M on Friday, September 10th, with Father Tim Kummerer officiating. Visitation will be Thursday 2-9 at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home with a 8 p:m Vigil Service Thursday. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Marysdale where VFW Post # 3360 will conduct honorary military rites. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society or or the Defiance Hospice Auxiliary. Condolences to the family may be left at www.defiancefuneralhome.com.
