Kendavid "David" Thomas Kessinger Sr., 40, of Defiance, passed away on, Friday, September 12, 2014 in Sidney, OH.

He was born on September 3, 1974 to Kenneth and Betty Lou (Thompson) Kessinger in Louisville, KY.  On November 12, 1994 he married Kerrie Barker, who survives.

Kendavid "David" is survived by his loving spouse, Kerrie Kessinger of Defiance, OH, son, Kendavid Thomas Kessinger, Jr. of Hicksville, OH, daughters, Skyyea Amber Kessinger, at home, Starr Autumn Kessinger, at home, Cheyenne Raye Kessinger of Hicksville, OH, brothers, Justin A. (Carol) Kessinger of West Unity, OH, James C. (Laurie) Bloomer of Wauseon, OH, Christopher M. (Sara) Bloomer of Wauseon, OH, sisters, Kendra (Monica) Kessinger of San Leandro, CA, Tamilee Bechtold of Sherwood, OH, Melissa Bowers of San Jose, CA, Valerie (Alex) Cabeza of Wauseon, OH, and Foster Mother, Vickie E. Bloomer of Wauseon, OH.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 16, 2014 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at 11:00 am in the funeral  home, with Pastor Vincent Kroterfield, officiating.

Burial will take place in the Floral Grove Cemetery, West Unity OH.
