Keith L. Blake Keith L. Blake, 65, of Defiance, passed away Sunday, February 19th, 2017 at The University of Toledo Medical Center. He was born in Defiance on September 19, 1951, he was the son of the late Allen L. and Florence (Edwards) Blake Sr. who survives him of Defiance. He served in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War. Keith was the husband of Penny Sharp, whom he married December 15, 1989. He had worked at Johns Manville for 25 years retiring in 2010. He was a life member of the Defiance VFW Post #3360, AMVETS, the Fish and Game Club and a Mason. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, country music and golf. Keith loved and took good care of his wife. He also loved football, his dog Gypsy and his family. Keith will be greatly missed by his wife Penny, mother Florence, daughters: Amber (David) Lee of South Bend, IN, Shirley (Charles) Tavner of Amelia, OH, Shelly Moore of Toledo, Angel Horg of Columbus, OH sister: Jeannine (Bert) Arnett of Sullivan, IN brothers: Allen (Karen) Blake Jr. of Defiance, David Blake I of Defiance. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Allen Blake Sr., grandson Mikael Harrington, Maternal grandparents Harry and Maudie Edwards, paternal grandparents Ira and Mary Blake. Services will be at the Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, February 22nd, with Rev. Ned Speiser officiating. Visitation is Wednesday morning from 10-12 p.m. at Lawson-Roessner.
