Obituary

Kathy M. Miller Kathy M. Fey-Hamman Miller, 61, of Defiance, went to her heavenly home surrounded by her family, Monday, April 17th, 2017 at Toledo Hospital. She was born in Lexington Park Naval Base, Maryland on February 22, 1956, she was the daughter of Beulah (Fey) Bryant of Holgate and Dale Fey of Jacksonville, Florida. Kathy was a 1974 graduate of Ayersville High School and Four County Joint Vocational School. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Holgate. She had a strong Christian faith, enjoyed Christian music and was a good singer. Kathy was a loving, compassionate, caring, giving person and gave many hugs. She liked yellow roses and butterflies and loved her dogs especially Sugar and Cubby. Kathy was a nurses aid home health caregiver for over 30 years and delivered newspapers in the Defiance Area for the last 10 years. In 1974 she married Alvin Hamman now deceased, in 1989 she married Jim Miller now deceased. She will always be remembered by her son: Aric Hamman of Defiance, grandson Arion Hamman of Defiance, granddaughter Machelle Hamman of Pennsylvania, sister Crystal (Gary) Fey Gerschutz of Holgate, her parents, niece Stephanie (Joel) Douglass of Centerville and nephew Dustin Gerschutz of Holgate. A Celebration of Life Service will be at First Baptist Church 448 S. Keyser St. Holgate at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 21st, with Rev. Charles Alley officiating. A remembrance gathering will be from 10 - 11 a.m. Friday at the church prior to the services. Suggested memorials are to her family for her grandson.
