Kathy Ann (Stuckey) Conley, 76, of Defiance, passed away surrounded by her family on April 24, 2026, at her home.
She was born on August 17, 1949, to John and Gloria (Hale) Stuckey in Defiance, Ohio. She was a 1968 graduate of Defiance High School. On September 27, 1969, she married Charles Conley, who survives.
Kathy was a faithful member of Family Christian Center in Defiance and enjoyed attending Christian concerts. She was a God loving woman with unwavering faith, who would help anyone in need. Kathy worked at Kohl's for many years and volunteered at St. John Lutheran Schools as an aid. She loved watching her soap operas, getting ice cream and driving around with the love of her life, Mr. Conley. She was known for cooking meals for her family as a way to get everyone together. Kathy was her grandchildren's biggest fan, never missing a sporting event or program they were in. She was an avid football fan, especially the Ohio State Buckeyes. OH-IO! Kathy and her sister, Pam, would attend the local high school football games where they were known as the "original cowbell ladies." She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved her family above all else and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Kathy is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Charles Conley of Defiance; daughters, G. Renee (Dwayne) Hagerman, Angie Gurwell, and Sara (Paul) Ramirez all of Defiance; and stepdaughter, Janet (Ora Jerry) Bryant of Chapmanville, WV. Also left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren, Alexandria English, Jakob Gurwell, Emily (Kelsey) Heck, DJ (Danielle) Hagerman, Mitchell (Kiley) Spencer, Noah Hagerman, Jerry Bryant, Catlin Bryant, Summer Bryant, Jocelyn Ramirez, and Eliza Ramirez; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Brynlee, Bronx, Raegan, Suede, Bexley, Rollins, and Riggins; siblings, Mike (Cindy) Stuckey, Pam (Larry) Breckler, Mary (Rick) Mansfield; and sister-in-law, Teresa Adkins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Gloria Stuckey, and nephew, Andrew Charles Breckler.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home (529 Jefferson Ave.) in Defiance. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
