Kathleen Doretta Guilford, 93, of Sherwood, peacefully passed away on Friday, November 17, 2017 at Kingsbury Place in Defiance.

She was born on December 29, 1923 in Findlay, Ohio, the daughter of Clarence and Gladys (Davies) Scott. On April 4, 1942 she married Melvin W. Guilford of  Sherwood. She retired from nursing in 1988.
Surviving are two sons, Scott (Rickie) Guilford of Defiance, and Dennis (Dawn) Guilford of Peoria, Arizona, seven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and a brother, Elmo "Bud" (Evelyn) Scott of Van Wert.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin, an infant son, Patrick Guilford, son, Steve "Satch" Guilford, and a sister, Betty Jean Burkett.

A private graveside service will be held at Sherwood Cemetery on Tuesday, November 21st. All are invited to a reception and luncheon in her memory from 12:00  until 3:00 on Tuesday at Sherwood VFW.
