Kathleen M. Hammon Kathleen M. Hammon, 96, of Defiance, passed away Sunday, March 4th, 2018 at Twin Rivers Care & Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Defiance, Ohio on March 27, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Dale and Mary (Louys) Barnhill. Kathleen was a life long member of St. Mary Catholic Church and a graduate of Defiance High School. In 1942 she married Robert Hammon who died in 1961. She loved spending time with family and friends and enjoyed reading, playing Yahtzee and Bingo. Kathleen will be greatly missed by her family and many good friends who loved her. Kathleen is survived by her son, James (Marilyn) Hammon of Bowling Green, a daughter, Judith Hohenberger of Defiance, a brother James Barnhill of Littleton, Colorado, 7 grandchildren: Kim (Chris) Weible, Bob (Melanie) Cameron, Missy (Kevin) Vestral, Tracy (Michael) Trausch, Lisa (Scott) Yoder, Denise (Chris) Huber and Crissy (Greg) Miller. 22 great grandchildren: Josh and Emily Weible, Mackenzie, Tommy and Macey Cameron, Meghan and Cassidy Vestal, Andrew, Danielle, Nathaniel, Stephiane, Joshua, Jennifer, Hannah, Chole and Allianna Trausch, Grant and Gillian Yoder, Olivia and Matthew Huber, Emily and Vicki Miller. She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter Mary Cameron, brother Patrick Barnhill, grandson Joshua Hohenberger, and great granddaughter Mattie Cameron. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 8th, with Father Randy Giesige officiating. Visitation is Wednesday 3-8 p.m. at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home with a scripture service at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
