Kathleen G Bittinger, age 90 passed away peacefully on March 26, 2016 with her daughters at her side. She was born November 21, 1925 in Adams Township Ohio to Albert and Agnes (Willitzer) Steffel. On October 24, 1953 she married Paul E Bittinger who preceded her in death on October 14, 1993 She graduated from Jewel High School and attended The Defiance College. Kathleen was an active member of St Mary Catholic Church and a member of the Altar Rosary Society She especially enjoyed working in the church office. She worked many years as a dental assistant and as assistant office manager, for both Dr. Edward Willey and Dr. Gregg Warner. Her greatest joy was spending time with her Children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by two daughters Susan (Norm) Walker of Defiance, Ohio and Nancy Browns of Avon Lake, Ohio. She is also survived by a sister Irene Steffel of Defiance. She is also survived by her grandchildren Ryan (Kirsten) Walker, Ashley (Kurt) Vollmar, Christopher (Michelle) Prokup, Sara Prokup and Alexander Prokup (Danielle Conte). She is also survived by great-grandchildren Evelyn and Barrett Walker, Allison and Morgan Vollmar, Henry Prokup. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at St. Mary Catholic Church. A Rosary service will be held on Tuesday evening at 7:00pm at the Funeral Home. Friends may call from 3:00 - 8:00pm on Tuesday and one hour prior to the service at the Lawson Roessner Funeral Home. Suggested Memorials are to the Kindred Hospice and St. Mary Catholic Church Food Pantry.
