Karen E. Schindler Karen E. Schindler, 60, of Defiance, Oh., passed away Saturday, December 26th, 2009 at St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo, Oh. She was born in Hyden, Ky. on December 24, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Forrest and Evelyn (Ledford) Bowling who survives her of St. Augustine. Fl. She married Thomas Schindler August 23, 1975 and he survives. Karen was employed at Job and Family Services of Defiance County. She had attended Palmer Chiropractic College in Davenport , Iowa, a 1967 graduate of Defiance High School and a member of the Eagle's Auxilary. Besides her beloved husband Tom, and mother Evelyn surviving are Daughters: Lora (Tim) Alsup of Indianapolis, In., Kerri Schindler of Defiance, Son: Joseph Schindler of Defiance, Sister: Gina (Rick) Beatty of Defiance, Brother: F. Wendell Bowling of North Carolina. She is also survived by two grandchildren Jon Alsup and Shelby Alsup. Preceded in death by her father. Services at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home at 11:00 A:M on Wednesday, December 30th. Friends are invited to call Tuesday 2-4 & 6-8 and Wednesday 9-11 at Lawson-Roessner.
