Karen  Memmer, 66, of Defiance, passed away on  December 6, 2012 at the CHP Defiance Area In-Patient Hospice Center.

She was born on September 8, 1946 to Lester and Rosemary (Colwell) Guilford in Defiance.

She is survived by husband of 47 years, Richard Memmer whom she married on September 25, 1965.

Karen graduated from Fairview High School in 1964 and was a member of St John Lutheran Church, Defiance.

Karen is also survived by her three children, sons, Tim (Karen) Memmer of Bowling Green, OH,  Richard (Cattina) Memmer of Mooresville, IN, daughter, Jill (Bryan) Webb of Athens, GA, 9 grandchildren, brothers, David (Myra) Guilford of Sherwood, Greg (Laenette) Guilford of Ney, and a sister, Diane (Jim) Phillips of Littleton, NC.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 09, 2012 from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home,  Defiance,

Memorial service will be held on Monday, December 10, 2012, at 11:00 am at St. John Lutheran Church with Rev. Donald L Luhring,and  Rev. Joshua Schmidt officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to St. John Lutheran Church or to the CHP Defiance Area In-Patient Hospice Center.
