Julien G. Chicoye Julien G. Chicoye, 88, of Defiance, Ohio, passed away Monday, May 17th, 2010 in his daughter's home in Defiance. He was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, on August 10, 1921, he was the son of the late Rossini and Eugenia (Aplagniat) Chicoye. He was a self employed importer/exporter for almost 50 years in Haiti. He had lived in Defiance since 1995. Julien married Raymonde (Lherisson) Chicoye on Dec. 17, 1955 and she died May 23, 1989. Surviving are: Daughters: Yanick (Rene) Jean-Louis of Defiance, Mireille Miramibeau of Montreal, Canada, Ketleen Chicoye of Haiti Sons: Claude (Glayds) Chicoye of Montreal, Canada, Serge (Alison) Chicoye of Brooklyn, New York, Raymond (Myriam) Chicoye of Boston, Mass., Jean Chicoye of Haiti Brothers: Max Chicoye of Orlando, Fl., Gontran Chicoye of Chicago, Ill., Guy Chicoye of Brooklyn, New York He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Services at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home, Defiance, Oh. at 11:00 A:M on Saturday, May 29th, with Apostle Michael Smith officiating. Visitation is Saturday 9-11 before the services. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Defiance. A reception for family and friends will be held after the services at 1964 Riverview Dr. On line condolences may be left at defiancefuneralhome.com.
