Julia A. Trevino, 93, of Defiance, passed away on Monday, December 10, 2018 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio. She was born on June 19, 1925 to Ray and Jesusa (Dominquez) Ramon at McNeil, Texas. She was married to Frank H. Trevino, Sr. and was an active member of St. John Catholic Church. She had previously worked at Davis Dry Cleaners, cleaned homes in the area, and worked in several factories before Julia and her husband owned and operated Trevino's Restaurant in Defiance. Julia enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family, and was extremely proud of her children. Julia will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Frank H. Trevino, Sr., daughters, Rosie (Tim) Peter and Helen Mast, sons, Jerry (Theresa) Torres, Frank (Ellie) Trevino, Jr., and Fred (Dalia) Trevino, 16 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren, and brothers, Joaquin Ramon and Joe Ramon. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, two brothers, and one son-in-law. Visitation will be held from 2-8 pm on Friday, December 14, 2018 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, December 15th at St. John Catholic Church, with Fr Eric Mueller officiating. Burial will follow the service at Riverside Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. John Catholic Church.
