Judy Ann Shawver, age 75 of Defiance, peacefully passed away on Monday morning, November 21, 2022 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center. She was born on April 13, 1947 to the late Edna (Champion) and Donald Dodson Sr. in Defiance, OH. On July 17, 1965 she married Richard C. Shawver Sr., who preceded her in death on February 25, 2015. Judy worked for several years as an assistant manager for Walmart in Defiance. She loved animals and treasured her time spent with her family and grandkids. Judy is survived by her sons, Richard C. Shawver, Jr. and Daniel J. Shawver, and her grandchildren, Lauren, Haley, Alexis, Daniel and Noah Shawver. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard, her sister, Donna Theis, and her brother, Donald Dodson. A private graveside service was held at Junction Cemetery. Schaffer Funeral Home was honored to assist the family with arrangements. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
