Judy Davis, 77, of Defiance, passed away Saturday July 26, 2025 at St Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo. She was born on March 28, 1948 to Joseph and Edith (Hahn) Holek in Defiance. Judy was a 1966 graduate of Tinora High School.  After cosmetology school, she worked as a licensed beautician for 30 years where she shared laughter and friendship with many of her clients. Additionally, she worked for Sauder Woodworking in Archbold for 10 years. On August 3, 2007 she married Terry Davis. Judy was a member St. Michael's Catholic Church the Ridge, its Altar Rosary Society and Defiance AmVets #1991.  Judy volunteered at the ProMedica Defiance Hospital gift shop, and St. Mary's Catholic Church military blanket ministry.  She and Terry also enjoyed volunteering with the Ayersville Christian Church "noodle crew", and Ayersville PTO where they competed in many chili cookoffs.  She treasured working the Ayersville PTO Santa Shop and was known for her beautiful bows.  In her leisure time, she enjoyed traveling, gardening (especially flowering plants), canning, cooking and baking for her family.  One of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren and great-granddaughters. Judy is survived by her husband Terry Davis of Defiance, children: Jason (Tamara) Rau of Defiance, and Julie (Joey) Farison of Ft. Wayne, IN; step-children, Michael (Becki) Davis of Defiance, Tricia Davis of Maumee, and Penny (Matthew) Choma of Whitehouse; seven grandchildren, Isabel (Spencer) Hines, Austin Davis, Davis Fray, Sydney and Jack Choma, and Jada and Hailey Rau, two great-granddaughters, Eleanor and Lucy Hines and KD, the family doodle dog. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Jerry Holek. Visitation will be held at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance on Tuesday July 29, 2025 from 9:00 am till 10:30 am; A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am at St. Michael's Catholic Church the Ridge in Defiance, with Fr. Melwin D'Souza officiating. Private Burial will take place in Ayersville Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Michael's Catholic Church the Ridge or Defiance AmVets # 1991.
