Judith Ann Beilharz, 80, of Defiance, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at Majestic Care of Bryan.

She was born in Anderson, Indiana on August 21, 1945 to the late Giles and Clarice (Brown) Tomlinson, and was a graduate of Farmer High School. For 48 years she was a devoted wife to the love of her life, Terry Beilharz, whom she married on March 10, 1978.

Judy was a loving mother who dedicated her life to raising her children. She volunteered for the American Cancer Society and campaigned to educate others about the dangers of smoking. Judy enjoyed golfing, painting and creating artwork, and traveling to Sedona, Arizona, and Gulf Shores, Alabama. She loved her horses, Champ, Shadow and Jubilee, and her dogs, Toby and Tassie. Judy will be greatly missed by her family and many good friends.

Judy is survived by her loving husband, Terry Beilharz of Defiance, her daughter, Julie (Tom Ballard) Edwards of Defiance, 3 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 4 stepchildren, 13 step-grandchildren, and 13 step-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her brother, Steve (Marijene) Tomlinson of Bryan, OH, and sisters, Carol (Michael) Trapschuh of Phoenix, AZ, and Mindee Tomlinson of Pinehurst, NC.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her son, Jeff Edwards.

Private services for Judy were held on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. She was laid to rest in Webb Cemetery.
