Judith E. Detter, 78, of Defiance, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Glenn Park of Defiance.

She was born on March 17, 1938 to Minor and Ora (Gorrell) Corron in West Leipsic, Ohio. She graduated from Leipsic High School in 1956. On September 21, 1958  she married Allen G. Detter, who preceded her in death on November 13, 2013.

Judy was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, and the Defiance VFW Auxiliary #3360. She enjoyed spending her time with her grandchildren.

Judy will be greatly missed by her sons, Daniel (Susan) Detter, Mark (Michelle) Detter, and Scott (Atsuko) Detter, all of Defiance, 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, sisters Armilda Corron, Betty Beatty , and Mary Kupper, and brother, John (Rosemary) Corron, all of Dayton, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ora and Minor Corron, husband, Allen G. Detter, brother, Robert Corron, and sister, Evalyn Gonzales.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 8:00 pm on Sunday, July 17, 2016 at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, July 18, 2016  at St. John Lutheran Church in Defiance, with Rev. Donald L Luhring officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Memory Gardens.
