Juanita F. Rosebrock, 98, of Defiance, passed away on  Wednesday morning, March 13, 2019 at her home in Defiance with her family by her side. She was born on February 5, 1921 to George and Marie (Colbe) Hoops in Hamler, Ohio. She graduated from Hamler High School, and worked as a seamstress.  On March 22, 1941 she married Bertram C. Rosebrock, who preceded her in death on February 3, 2000.

Juanita was a faithful member of Zion's Lutheran Church in Defiance, and was very involved at the Defiance Senior Center. She enjoyed camping, she was an avid traveler, and has visited 49 states. Juanita loved to play bridge, canasta, and pinochle. Juanita will be missed by her daughter, Barbara (Charles) Stephens of Defiance, daughter-in-law, Judy Rosebrock, 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Bertram C. Rosebrock, son, Daniel Rosebrock, sister, Margaret Garcia, and brother, Paul Hoops. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am at Schaffer Funeral Home, with Pastor Timothy Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow the service at Riverside Cemetery.
