Juan R. Almanza, 72, of Defiance, passed away on  September 7, 2014 at
theCHP Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center in Defiance, OH.

He was born on March 13, 1942 to Rodrigo and Maria (Silviera) Segura in
Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. On April 8, 1968 he married Irma Perez.
Juan and Irma lived in Defiance, Ohio.

Juan was employed at GM from 1968 until he retired in 1999. He enjoyed
working on cars in his spare time. He was a member of Temple of Praise.

Juan is survived by his son, Zac Almanza of Defiance, OH, son, Juan
Almanza of Defiance, OH, grandchildren, Isaiah Almanza, & Audrianna
Almanza, brother, Raymundo (Maria) Rivera of Decatur, IN, sister, Naomi
Flory of Morgantown, WV, Catarino Sandoval of San Louise, Mexico, sister,
Maria Louisa Escalera of Monterrey, Mexico.

He was preceded in death by mother, Maria Segura, father, Rodrigo Segura,
brother, Espdion Sandoval.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 09, 2014 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at
Schaffer Funeral Home, Inc., Defiance, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2014, 11:00 am
at the Temple of Praise Assembly of God, with Rev. Ruben  Laguna,
officiating.

Burial will take place at Riverview Memory Gardens.
