Joyce Lucielle Sanders, 78, of Defiance, passed away on Sunday,  September 30, 2012 at the Toledo Hospital.

She was born on February 24, 1934 to Bernard and Gay (Courtney) Mohr in Defiance, OH.  She married Robert Lee Sanders on March 12, 1975 at home and he survives.  Also surviving her are her sons: Mike (Betty) Davis of Edgerton, OH, Terry (Kathy) Davis of Defiance, OH, Rick (Connie) Davis of Defiance, OH, Chris Davis of Bryan, OH, Step-children, Bobby (Shirley) Sanders of Defiance, OH, Laura (Craig) Richards of Defiance, OH, Penny Brubaker of Chicago, IL, 14 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, sisters Joan (Paul) Ullinskey of Defiance, OH, Pat Pack of Paulding, OH, and many nieces and nephews, who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard Mohr, Gay Mohr-Nixon,  first husband, Ned D. Davis, step father, Ray Nixon, brothers, Frank, Bernard & Dick Mohr, sister, Videy Relue, son, Joseph Patrick Davis, and 2 great grandchildren.

Joyce attended St. Mary's Catholic Church.  She worked at Spangler's Candy Company in Bryan 12 years, at the  VFW 4-5 years, and bartended at the Defiance Eagles 23 years.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 02, 2012 from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home,  Defiance, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at 11:00 am at  St Mary's Catholic Church, Defiance, Ohio.

Burial will take place in Riverview Memory Gardens.

Memorials are suggested to the Eagles Women's Auxiliary.
