Obituary

Joseph F. Foster Joseph F. Foster, age 49, of Defiance, passed away Monday, April 20th, 2009 at his home. He was born in Okinawa, Japan, on June 5, 1959, he was the son of the late Herman Foster and Norma J. (Lindley) Sunday who survives. He served in the U.S. Army. Joe worked as a machinist at Mid City Manufacturing in Sherwood, at DWE in Napoleon for 15 years, and as a machinist in Defiance. Joe had a passion and love of Ford Mustangs. He restored, rebuilt and collected Mustangs. Surviving is his mother: Norma (Kenneth) Sunday of Coldwater, Mich. Sons: Cory Foster of Marion, Oh. and Christopher Foster of Utica, Mich. a close friend and former wife: Louise Foster of Defiance. Sisters: Beth (Roger) Weidler of Ft. Wayne, Ind., Becky (Bill) Zartman of Antwerp, Oh, Susan Page of Archbold and Sudie Foster of Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Brothers: Jim (Gemma) Foster and Jon Foster both of Defiance. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren. Preceded in death by his father, a step son Greg Cameron and step father Phil Ludwick Services at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home 1753 S. Clinton St. Defiance, at 11:00 A:M on Friday, April 24th, with Rev. Mike Schneider officiating. Defiance VFW Post # 3360 will conduct honorary military rites. Visitation is 3-5 & 6-8 Thursday at Lawson-Roessner. Suggested memorials are to the family. On line condolences may be left at www.defiancefuneralhome.com.
