Jose (Joe) Moreno Urdiales, 81 died peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, February 11, 2022. He was born on September 9, 1940 to Matias and Natalia (Moreno) Urdiales in Dola, OH.  Joe worked at General Motors for 42 years.  He enjoyed playing golf, cards and bowling as well as being with his family. Joe is survived by his daughters, Michelle (Ricardo) Garcia, Evangelina Padron, and  Regina (Simon Esparza) Urdiales; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two brothers and one sister. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters. Visitation will be held at the Schaffer Funeral home on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until the Rosary service at 1:00 p.m.  A Funeral Mass will follow at St Mary Catholic Church, Defiance at 2:00 p.m. with Fr. Randy Giesige presiding. Due to CDC guidelines if you are not fully vaccinated a mask is required to enter the funeral home, and our lounge area will remain closed.
