Joie Denver Buell Jr. Joie Denver Buell Jr., 48, of Cecil, Ohio , passed away Tuesday, November 19th, 2013 at Brookview Healthcare Center' He was born in Defiance, Ohio on February 20, 1965, he was the son of the late Shirley (Hood) and Joie Buell Sr. Joie was a 1983 graduate of Defiance High School and had worked as a self employed truck driver. He was a fan of NASCAR, Jeff Gordon and enjoyed singing. He was also a member of the Defiance and Paulding Eagles. Surviving is his father Joie Denver Buell Sr. and stepmother Patricia Buell of Defiance, sisters; Carroll (Donny) Hunter of Cecil and Michelle (Greg) Baldridge of Defiance. His companion of 18 years, Karen Barnes and her four children: Michelle (Shaun) Meeks, Heather (Chad) Mullen, Mark (Beth) Barnes, and Matt Barnes, 6 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Also surviving are nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his mother Shirley Buell and his grandparents. Visitation will be 3-8 Friday and an hour before services Saturday at the Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home 1753 S. Clinton St. Defiance. Services will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 23rd at Lawson-Roessner, with Rev. Kenneth Ray Buell and Rev. Murphy Buell officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Memory Gardens.
