John H. Tipping
John H. Tipping, 80, of Defiance, passed peacefully into his heavenly Father's arms on Wednesday afternoon with his family around him. He was born May 16, 1936
John retired from Campbell's Soup Co. after 40 years in July 1998.
John is survived by his wife of 13 years, Carma J. DeCair, his brother Chester (Sharon) of Ottawa Lake, MI, daughter Kelly (Bill) Oberlin, grandchildren Levi, Isaac, Hannah and Joseph Oberlin all of Carol Stream, Illinois, daughter Tisha Lea Tipping of Portland, Oregon and son John M. Tipping of Columbus, OH. Special daughters Debra (Jose) Guerra of Cincinnati and Sheri (Randy) Schliesser, grandchildren Joseph, Jeffrey and Amber of Defiance, OH.
His parents Chester A. and Louisa Clark Tipping preceded him in death as well as his wife Nedra (Smith) Tipping, two brothers: Charles and William Tipping, sisters: Susan Hawkins, Janet Hill and Patricia Wanner, two stepbrothers and three stepsisters.
John was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church 25950 Nagel Rd., Defiance OH where a Memorial Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 3rd. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, corner of Nagel and Domersville Roads, Defiance, OH. with visitation from 9-10 a.m., an hour prior to services. Pastor Robbie Ketcham will officiate. There will be a private burial in Maplewood Cemetery, Toledo, OH The Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home was entrusted with John's arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Heartland Hospice Services of Perrysburg, Ohio, the Alzheimer's Association or the American Diabetic Association.
