John A, Orta Sr.
John Andrew Orta, Sr., 53, of Defiance, passed away Tuesday, August 16th, 2016 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
He was born in Defiance, Ohio on July 13, 1963, he was the son of the late Daniel and Oralia (Munoz) Orta.
He retired as a supervisor at the J.M. Smucker Co. in Toledo. John enjoyed reading and singing.
He will be missed by
daughters: Jennifer (Douglas) Gebard of Columbus, Jessica (Eric) Willis of Defiance,
sons: John (Alyson) Orta Jr. of Pickerington, OH, Rudolfo (Erik) Orta of Toledo, Dalton Balsar of Defiance.
John is also survived by 5 grandchildren and several sisters and brothers.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Margaret (Wurster) Orta.
Services will be at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home 1753 S. Clinton St. Defiance, at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 19th.
Visitation is Friday 11 - 1 p.m. before services at Lawson-Roessner.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Suggested memorials are to the family.
