Obituary

John J Jaskolski, 93, of Defiance, passed away on  Thursday, August 29, 2013 at the CHP Defiance Area In-Patient Hospice Center.

He was born on December 19, 1919, one of seventeen children, to John and Pelagia (Stankowski) Jaskolski in Camden, NJ. On  August 26, 1944 he married Helene (Szyszkoski) Jaskolski and she preceded him in death June 4, 2013.

John was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.  He honorably served his country in the Army AC during WWII.   He was a member of the VFW, Elk's and the Auglaize Country Club.  John retired as supervisor at Campbell Soup Company in 1982 after 42 years of service.

John is survived by his son, John E (Kathie) Jaskolski of Whitehouse,  daughters, Bonnie (Tony) Davis of Ayersville,  Janet (Stephen) Baden of Sherwood,  Loraine (Andrew) Robinett of Bryan,  Michele Jaskolski of Virginia Beach, VA, 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Randy Giesige officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the mass from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at the church.

Entombment with military rites provided by the Defiance VFW #3360 will be in Riverview Memory Gardens Mausoleum.

The family suggests memorials be given to CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
