John W. Goble, 79, of Defiance, passed away on December 25, 2022, at The Laurels in Defiance, OH.

He was born on January 27, 1943, to John and Eva (Meade) Goble in Turkey Creek, KY. John worked as a Relief Operator for General Motors. On July 7, 2004, he married Josie Salaz. He was a member of Family Christian Center. John's ham radio handle was KD8AGO, he loved hunting with his sons, John was a mechanic on buses for Faith Tabernacle, and also raced cars. John is survived by his loving wife of 18 years Josie, of  Defiance, children, John  Goble of Fayette, Ohio, Jeff (Vickie) Goble of Defiance, Ohio, Jason (Katie) Goble of Hicksville, Ohio, Joe Goble of Edgerton, Ohio, Kirk Okuly of Montpelier, Ohio, Florentina and Austin Dodson at home, and Jared  Dodson of Defiance, Ohio, Sisters, Mary (Charlie) Murray, and Sue Bryant both of Defiance, Ohio, Margie Shomberg of FL, Margaret  Curry of  KY, Brothers, Willie (Emma) Goble of IN, and Robert L. (Donna) Goble of KY, 5 Grandchildren and his dog Tiny. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sister, Barbara Goble and Brother, Ronnie Goble. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2022, 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at 11:00 am at the Funeral Home, with Pastor Tim Tracy, officiating. Memorials are suggested to the church.
