John E. Dodson's Obituary
John E Dodson, 64, of Defiance, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at Mercy Hospital of Defiance.
He was born on March 18, 1949 to Paul and Wilma (Hire) Dodson in Defiance.John worked for Cooper Standard in Archbold 35 years. He was a member of the Eagles Aerie #372, the Moose Lodge and the Amvets Post 1991, all of Defiance.
John is survived by his son, Jerimie (Katie Berry) Dodson of Defiance, daughters, Joyce (Dan) Snider of Sherwood, Jody Swank of Hicksville, 8 grandchildren and a sister, Sharon (Gary) Gearhart of Defiance. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Thomas James Dodson.
Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. Friday, September 20, 2013 at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance. A Sons of the Amvets service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 21, 2013, at Schaffer Funeral Home with Rev. Herb Strickland, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to a Charity of the donor's choice.
