JoAnne W. Riebesehl, 81, of Defiance, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2014, at Mercy St. Vincent Hospital, in Toledo, Ohio.

JoAnne was born in Defiance, Ohio, on March 27, 1933, to Mildred and Edmund Otto. JoAnne retired as the cook at the Defiance College.

JoAnne is survived by her children, Iris Puffinger, Marcia Drinnon, Betsy (Dave) Grahn, Jody (Mark) Yonge, Rhonda Hauser, Heidi (Dean) Bohn and Mark (Dolly) Riebesehl; a sister, Marilyn Ordway; and a stepbrother, James Otto.

JoAnne was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard; son, Michael; and daughter, Penny.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 16, 2014, from noon-2 p.m., with the funeral service celebrating the life of JoAnne W. Riebesehl at 2 p.m. Saturday at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance, Ohio, with Rev. Herb Strickland officiating.

Burial will follow in Riverview Memory Gardens.
