Joann Ankney Joann Ankney, 68, of Cecil, OH , passed away Tuesday, December 22nd, 2015 at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana, Ft. Wayne. She was born in Pineville, Ky. on August 3, 1947, she was the daughter of the late George and Ruby (Woods) Buell who survives her of Pineville, KY. On February 14, 1972 she married Sylvester Ankney who died December 27, 2013. Joann had worked at at Campbell's Soup Co. for 10 years and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Cecil Community Church. She loved to gospel singing and had made two CD's. She also enjoyed playing instruments, crocheting, sewing, doing arts and crafts, redoing furniture and loved helping people. She will be missed by a daughter: Amy (Shane) Flohe of Hicksville, OH a son: Dennis Ankney of Cecil, OH mother; Ruby Buell of Pineville, KY brothers: James (Darlene) Buell of Cecil, OH, Donald (Vanessa) Buell of Booneville, KY, Roger Buell Sr. of Pineville, KY. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren: Dylan Fox, Ashley Flohe, Bailey Graber, Adam Silvers and 2 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband Sylvester, her father George a brother Steve Buell. Friends are invited to call Saturday 1-6 p.m. December 26, 2015 at the Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home 1753 S. Clinton St. Defiance, Services will be Tuesday, December 29th at the Ferndale Pentecostal Church in Ferndale, Kentucky. Burial will be in the Buell Family Cemetery in Bell County, KY.
