Private services for the family only. Joan (Davis) O'Toole Joan O'Toole, 77, of Defiance, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Toledo Hospital. She was born September 12, 1939 to the late Floyd and Lillian Davis in Defiance. She graduated from Defiance High School in 1957. In her youth she enjoyed playing the piano and organ, church activities, bookkeeping for the family business, camping, raising her children, designing houses, and selling mobile homes. She also participated in many church tent meetings and musical presentations. Joan is survived by her husband William O'Toole and her four children; Pam Ledyard, Jan (Lisa) Ledyard, Kim (Dan) Milam and Doug (Norah) Ledyard and ten grandchildren. All of them live in Bryan, Columbus or Dayton. Joan continued camping in later years until declining health made that impossible. All her life she was a devoted Christian, and for ten years a member of the 700 Club. Prayer and reading the Bible were important to her. Private services were in the Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home.
