Jim Adams Jim Adams, 70, of Defiance, passed away Monday, January 11th, 2010 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center. He was born in Prestonburg, Ky. on May 9, 1939, he was the son of the late Arlie Wayne and Oma May (Marsellett) Adams Jim married Susan Schramm Oct. 28, 1989 and she survives. He worked as a metallurgist / supervisor at various foundries including G.M., Ford and Hayes Albion. He served in the U.S. Army. His C.B. handle was "Middleman." Besides his wife Susan, surviving are Daughter: Sandra (Brian) Schramm-Kirkendall of Napoleon. Sons: Michael Adams of Dayton, Brian Adams of Defiance, Robert (Tammy) Adams of Defiance, Michael Schramm of Defiance. His former wife Janice Walters of Pikeville, KY. Sisters: Alma Adams of Warsaw, In. and Bonnie (Raymond) Burchett of Blue River, Ky. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren. Preceded in death by 2 sons: James Adams in 1993 and Steven Adams in 2005, sisters Julie Foley , Sally Cheney, Josephine Riffett and his first wife Juanita in 1964. Services will be 11:00 Friday January 15th, at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home 1753 S. Clinton St. Defiance, Oh.. Officiating will be Rev. Bill Mesaeh and Rev. John McFarland. Visitation is 2-8 Thursday at Lawson-Roessner. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery where VFW Post # 3360 will conduct honorary military services.
