Jesusa "Chua" Perez, 89, of Defiance, passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at her home, surrounded by her loving family . She was born on December 25, 1928 to Faustino and Claudina Feliciano in Puerto Rico. On May 4, 1951 she married Virgilio Perez who preceded her in death.  Chua loved cooking, taking care of her family and gardening. Chua was a devoted Christian who enjoyed reading her Bible daily. Chua is survived by her, sons, Humberto Perez of Defiance, Lionel (Cindy) Perez of Cleveland, Orlando (Milagro) Perez of Defiance, Angel Perez of Defiance, Ruben Perez of Defiance and Israel (Minerva) Perez of Defiance, daughters, Ada I. (Manuel) Vasquez of Cleveland, Celia M. (Adalberto) Vega of Defiance, Carmen (Jorge) Ortiz of Defiance, Ana H. (Pedro) Castillo of Defiance and Yolanda M. Perez of Milwaukee, WI, 37 grandchildren, 61 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and brothers, twin brother Ramon Rosa and Primitivo Rosa both Massachusetts. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Virgilio Perez in 1997, infant daughter, Maria Ester, her parents, brothers, Santos, Carmelo, Gilberto, Jesus and sisters, Encarnacio and Margarita. Visitation will be held  at Schaffer Funeral Home, Inc., Defiance, Monday, December 10, 2018 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm and also for one hour prior to the funeral service. Funeral services will be held on, Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 12:00 pm,  at the Schaffer Funeral Home, with Juan Perez officiating. Burial will take place in the Riverside Cemetery.
