Jerry Esparza -use in bold top heading Michael "Jerry" Jerome Esparza, Sr., age 52, of Chicago and formerly of Defiance, passed away in Chicago. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on September 4, 1960, he was the son of the late Charles and Anna (Ordaz) Esparza who survives him of Defiance He was raised and lived in Defiance about 40 years before moving to Chicago seven years ago. Surviving are: sons: Mark Esparza of Texas, Michael J. Esparza Jr. of Defiance, sisters: Rosielee Prymicz of Chicago, Mickey Esparza of Defiance, JoAnn Jimenez of Defiance, Anna Resendez of Defiance, Teresa Schackow of Michigan brothers: Carlos Esparza of Defiance, David Esparza of Defiance, Tony Esparza of Defiance, Joe Esparza of Chicago. Preceded in death by a brother Simon and his father Charles. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at at St. John Catholic Church, Defiance, at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 10th, with Father Todd Dominique officiating.
