Jeffery L. Maag, age 67 of Defiance, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2024. He was born in Defiance on January 23, 1957 to the late Leonard and Patricia (Westrick) Maag. On October 10, 1992 he married Linda Oberlin, who survives.

Jeff worked at Johns Manville for 41 years until his retirement in 2016. He loved fishing at Oxbow Lake and several other locations. He also enjoyed swimming in Florida. Jeff will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Jeff is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Linda Maag of Defiance, his sister, Mary (Steve) Paneno of Sun City, AZ, and his brother, Eugene (Valerie) Maag of Atlanta, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Patricia Maag of Holgate, Ohio. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A Memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm at the funeral home, with Deacon Jeff Mayer officiating. Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
