Jeannette M. Demecs Jeannette M. Demecs, 84, of Toledo, passed away Sunday, July 23rd, 2017 at the Twin Rivers Care Center in Defiance. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on October 2, 1932, she was the daughter of the late William and Jessica Seguin. She had lived in Toledo until her last three years in Defiance. Jeannette was a mother of 9 children, a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed taking care of her large family. She sent her children to catholic schools. She loved cooking and babies. She was the widow of James J. Demecs who died in 1999. Surviving are sons: James (Ilene) Demecs of Toledo, David (Sherry) Demecs of Swanton, Tim (Carrie Jo) Demecs of Maumee, Randy Demecs of Holland, OH, Christopher (Mary) Demecs of Waterville, Darryl (Dinora) Demecs of Toledo. Daughter: Caryn (Chris) Wasnich of Defiance. 24 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, James, two sons: Michael and Dennis Demecs, a brother John "Jack" Seguin and a sister Gloria Yarberry. Services at the Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home 1753 S. Clinton St. Defiance, at 5:00 on Thursday, July 27th. Deacon Jeff Mayer officiating/ Visitation is Thursday 3-5 p.m. at Lawson-Roessner.
