Jeane A. Mojica, 69, of Defiance, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born on March 3, 1948 to Bryon and Mary (Kramer) Betz in Bluffton, Ohio. Jeane  loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed cooking and shopping. She will be missed by her family and friends.

Jeane is survived by her husband, Tony Mojica of Defiance, children, Richard Mojica, Lisa (Ray) Garcia, Sandra (Clayton Jeffers) Pinski, Gary (Angie) Mojica, and Shannon Mojica, all of Defiance, 14 grandchildren, and her aunt and close friend, Carolyn Karhoff of Ottawa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Larry Betz.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, May 22, 2017 at 11:00 am, with Pastor Timothy Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow the service at Riverside Cemetery.
