Jean M. Juette Jean Margaret Juette, 92, of Defiance, died Sunday, July 19th, 2009 at Brookview Healthcare Center in Defiance. . She was born in Lima, OH on April 6, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Herbert O. and Mae (Dickason) Parrish She married Howard Juette on May 12, 1942 at St. Rose Catholic Church in Lima. Howard died March 23, 1996. They were married 54 years. She worked in the office of Leaders Dept. Store in Lima prior to her marriage and in Gambels Dept. Store in Defiance. Moved to Defiance about 1954. Jean was a long time parishioner of St. Mary's Catholic Church and a member of the Altar Society, Noodle Club and a leader for Blue Birds. She was a loving wife, mother and devoted grandma and great grandma, accomplished seamstress and loved cooking for her family. She enjoyed playing cards especially Gin Rummy/Defiance rules. Survived by devoted sons Steve of Defiance and Lawrence (Karen) Juette of Temperance, Mich. 2 grandsons: Andrew (Lisa) Juette of Sylvania, Oh. Matthew Juette of Temperance, Mi. 2 great grand daughters: Corryn Margaret and Emily Grace. Preceded in death by two sisters Gail Sheldon and Ruth Delaney. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at at St. Mary Catholic Church, Defiance, Oh. at 11:00 A:M on Tuesday, July 21st, with Father Tim Kummerer officiating. Visitation is Tuesday 9-10:30 A:M at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home. Burial will be at Riverview Memory Gardens. Suggested memorials are to St. Mary's Catholic church.
