Jared J. Hernandez, age 29, of Defiance, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022. He was born on April 17, 1992 to April Coressel in Defiance, Ohio. Jared was known by many for his contagious laugh and sense of humor. He loved spending time with his family, especially his daughter who was the love of his life. Jared will be sadly missed by his family and many good friends. Jared is survived by his mother, April Coressel, his daughter, Selina Hernandez, his special friend, Brianna Demecs, his brothers, Gabe Greiner, Malachi Greiner and Jamie Hernandez, Jr., and his sisters, Portia Dodd, Cornelia Hernandez and Angie Hernandez, all of Defiance. He was raised by Heath Greiner of Defiance and Brian Graziani of Pulaski, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lavona and Jerry Coressel, Sr., and his best friend, A.J. Coressel. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 from 2:00 to 8:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at 11:00 am at the funeral home, with Pastor Vincent Cantu officiating. Memorials are suggested to the family.
